Mette's book launches this summer!
For two decades, MetteSpace has been creating healthy and purposeful workspaces where people actually want to be because they feel good when they are there. Physical workspace has evolved in recent years to be anything but “one size fits all,” but our founder, Mette Johansen Keating developed a design approach that is unique, unbiased and is more compelling than ever: it is necessary, not an option, that organizations and people have physical space in which to thrive and grow. In offices, homes and institutions across North America and Europe, our touch ensures that workspaces are purposefully designed to create value for organizations, instilling trust, joy, and success.
Combining and integrating leadership and design strategies from global leaders has led us to implement our iThrive® across 2 continents in advancing our mission recognize healthy workspace design a valuable part of any business culture. Much of the original philosophy and design sense stems from Denmark, Mette's roots, but it has grown to something completely our own. We continue to drive and expand space design thought leadership and emerging ideas around the world in areas such as biophilia, neuroscience in architecture, human-centric design, and workplace health and wellness.
Mette has been frequently featured in publications such as Toronto Life, The Globe and Mail, Financial Post, HR Professional, Canadian Interiors, and Canadian Business, and has spoken about her work on CBC Radio and at IDS Toronto and IIDEX, Canada’s National Design and Architecture Exposition & Conference. She actively participates in the community at the Danish Architecture Center (DAC) in Copenhagen.
Mette "As you will have discovered by now, I’m passionate about space but I’m even more passionate about the impact it has on you and, in fact, everyone. Too often, this hidden resource that business leaders can control remains at best a trendy and cool made-over place that may or may not be a hit, and at worst an uninspired detriment to the organization. Your call to action is to consider your physical environment as an asset to reinforce purpose, mission and inspire greatness."
